Hello,
I recently received a new motherboard, CPU, RAM, and SSD. I reused my PSU and GPU, and installed it into a testbench from the previous case. I've assembled PCs before, but this issue has never occurred to me. After setting everything up and connecting everything, I turned on the PSU. Pressing the switch at the back didn't power anything—no PSU fan, no CPU fan, no lights—but the keyboard connected to an I/O USB and lit up. I assumed the PSU wasn't receiving power, but the keyboard lights worked. I checked the CMOS reset stick, removed RAM and GPU, and even unplugged everything except the PSU, yet nothing turned on except the keyboard lights. Any advice?

The device won't start. Connect the case switch to the motherboard front panel header pins or gently touch the two pins with a screwdriver.

Sorry, I didn't include that detail. I also just attempted to jump it as you suggested.

What are the specs for this system (make/model of all parts)?

I have what I remember from the beginning. Did I overlook anything? Everything seems fine except the GPU and power supply, which were removed from a functioning system ten minutes prior to this build. All other components are brand new.

Did you exclusively utilize cables from the Seasonic PSU, and are there no cables from other PSUs?

That's correct. It's a semi-modular setup, and I only connected one modular cable this time, such as the SATA power for my SSD.

Verify that both the 8-pin and 24-pin power cords are securely connected to the motherboard. Since your CPU does not include built-in video, you need a GPU installed.

I did install it, but I saw some advice online about unplugging the RAM and GPU before posting. However, I don’t have power to post, and I also couldn’t get any power either.

To get started or publish content, you require at least memory, processing power, graphics capabilities, energy supply, and a working motherboard.
