Manv suggests considering a slightly higher wattage power supply, like 1500W, rather than sticking to a lower one. He warns against saving money by choosing a lower wattage PSU, as it could cause components to fail and risk damaging your build. He emphasizes the importance of having enough headroom when selecting a PSU.

A 1000W PSU could function, but it might be quite tight. I suggest opting for a slightly more powerful unit such as 1500W. You're gearing up for a costly setup. Trying to save a few dollars with a lower wattage PSU risks damaging your components if it can't meet their needs. Give yourself extra capacity when selecting the right power supply.

A 1000W PSU could work, but it might be a bit tight. I suggest opting for something with a slightly higher wattage, around 1500W. This would make your build quite costly. Trying to save a few dollars and getting a lower wattage PSU risks damaging your components if they can't handle the load. Always leave some extra capacity when selecting a PSU.

That's just nonsense!
Even an 850W unit would run everything at normal speeds and allow for some overclocking, though I’d still recommend a 1000W model for the 6950x because it supports better overclocks with more voltage.

The RM series isn’t great either—it uses low-quality CapXon capacitors. If you already have them, it’s fine to stick with them. But I wouldn’t suggest replacing them with cheaper alternatives.

If you decide to buy, look for options like the EVGA G2/P2 1000W, Corsair HXi or AX/AXi series on sale, or other products from Seasonic or Superflower. Feel free to ask if you need more details.

Regarding storage, Seagate Barracuda drives are very affordable but have a high failure rate over time. Consider getting a WD Black 2TB HDD and a 500GB Samsung 850 Evo instead of a PNY drive.

For cooling fans, the best choices for static pressure are the Noctua NF-A14s, NF-F12s, and Fractal Design HP-12 and HP-14 models. They’re quiet yet powerful.
