The PS5 controller might have failed during the repair process.
I repaired my PS5 controller by swapping out the horizontal potentiometer, but I mistakenly thought about replacing the other one too before confirming that fixing just one might be enough. Now the horizontal one, which had the initial drift, is fixed, yet the vertical one is showing extreme drift. I’m unsure if the horizontal or vertical potentiometers are different, or if the issue stems from the potentiometer coming apart during replacement and being reassembled. I changed it twice without success, and the strong upward drift remains unchanged. I’m worried whether this means I need to replace the whole joystick or if there’s a motherboard problem. It’s concerning because even when moving the right joystick, the left one shifts slightly. If you could offer some advice, it would be greatly appreciated. I can include media if helpful.
