The Proxmox VM in OpenSense fails to reach its own forwarded ports from its public address.
Hello everyone, I’m dealing with a Proxmox VM on an OpenSense firewall. It has port-forwarding set up for certain ports, but it can’t reach those ports from its public IP address. After reviewing the rules on both OpenSense and the VM, everything seems correct. The VM uses only one NIC and runs inside a virtual environment. Below is the Proxmox setup and the forwarding rule. I’ve also tested accessing the ports externally, which works fine. However, trying to reach them from within the network causes timeouts. Have anyone faced this problem before? Any suggestions on possible causes or solutions? So far, I ran an NMAP scan on both the firewall and the VM, and everything looks good. Still unsure what else to check—could you share more logs or details to help resolve this?
