I recently purchased a 7.1 surround headset and on Windows it displays it as a speaker. I connected it using a USB cable, but Windows still identifies it as a speaker. The configuration settings only show stereo channels, not a surround sound setup. There is no dedicated app or program linked to this device for control. What should I do?
Windows offers the option to enable spatial sound in windows.

I think the problem might be with the drivers. Your headset shows "headset" and "virtual surround," which could mean you have mismatched drivers. Also, your Windows installation might be corrupted—fixing it by reformatting and reinstalling could help. Sorry, that's all I can do at the moment.
I also checked the website for your headset, but when I tried to download the software to inspect the package, it claims it can't be downloaded securely. It seems like you might not want to work with this company.
My HyperX Cloud II is working perfectly and displays correctly. I wouldn't trust a company with an insecure website—you can't rely on their software.
I would try them on a functional PC to see if it still shows speakers; maybe the issue is just with their software.
