I upgraded my old machine to Windows 10 Home and wonder if I can still use the product key from before.

It's secured within the device and won't work on a fresh computer. You'll need to buy it separately.

Checking if it's an OEM key. A Windows 7 Professional key on a F@H PC that runs Windows 10 worked fine.

Sure, I can try for a 30-day test period. What would you like to do?

I frequently work on similar projects and haven't always gotten the results I hoped for. Not an OEM version. However, as Czex mentioned, it's worth trying.

If it doesn't work, you can keep using the PC, but expect frequent notifications warning about activation issues.

Windows can be set up without going through the activation process, though it will lack some advanced features.

Thanks for your assistance. I plan to attempt installing Windows 10 Home on my device; otherwise, I’ll opt for downloading it from the internet.
