I've been attempting all possible fixes to install my CPU for the last hour or so, but it won't fit properly into the socket. I've opened and closed it several times without the CPU, tried installing it while holding the latch, and checked many other things. The pins aren't bending, so I'm not sure what's going on. Anyone have any advice?

Interesting, the arrow seems correctly positioned. I’d suggest trying to rotate the CPU corner around and observe if it fits better. It might be a motherboard issue where the socket cover is placed in an odd orientation.

I considered it, but I don’t wish to take that chance—I’m worried I might damage a pin this way.

avoid altering it after insertion, place it as you normally would on the arro, yet adjust the aroow to point toward various corners.

CPU corner placement needs to match the missing MOMO corner, positioned in the lower left area

We understand, it's both correct but not the direction that guided my thought about possibly misplacing the socket cover. Please refer to the previous discussion.

I don't believe this will resolve the issue. I've looked at it for a while now, and everything seems to fit together. But it still won't come together properly.

Sure, here’s a clear overview of the CPU pin layout from a top-down view.

The pin isn’t present at that spot, which makes sense. It seems like the pin might be slightly bent on the CPU. The photo of the bottom doesn’t show enough detail to confirm.
