Hello everyone, today I upgraded my CPU (Intel Core I5 750) from 2.67ghz to 3.20ghz and observed it running at full speed without slowing down. Should I need to adjust the BIOS settings?

I didn't actually overclock it. Most instructions suggest turning off power-saving options, like disabling CPU clocking when idle. Are you running the High Performance Windows power plan?

When Windows 10 is configured for high performance, it remains stable without any issues at the moment. The system must be in a balanced state.

Bigpinkdragon286 asked about the method used to overclock the system. They mentioned turning off power-saving features and checking if the high performance power plan is active.

The High Performance power setting prevents CPU cores from slowing down or shutting off. Consider using another power plan if needed.

Does the i5-750 fail to reach 3.2 Ghz under normal conditions? No, during gaming it doesn't increase to 3.2GHz automatically.

The High Performance power plan doesn't prevent CPU cores from throttling or pausing. Consider switching to a different plan if needed. I switched to Balanced but it didn't make a difference, and changing to Power saver also had no effect.

The i5 750 features two turbo modes:
1 - 2 cores at 3.2 GHz
3 - 4 cores at 2.8 GHz
When your game requires more than two cores, it won't automatically switch to the higher frequency.

When your power plan remains at full speed despite being set to Balanced or Power Saver, it may indicate certain power-saving options in BIOS are disabled. You should review those settings and adjust them accordingly.
