I have a Ryzen 5-7600X with six cores and twelve threads. It has always used all six cores, but recently I wanted to verify the maximum TDP. I noticed CPU-Z indicated only four cores and eight threads. After checking Ryzen Master, I saw core 5 and 6 were idle, likely due to low load. Running Cinebench confirmed the same result. My system shows a 4-core, 8-thread configuration. How can I resolve this?

It seems there might be an issue with the driver. You may need to reinstall Windows to resolve it. For testing, you can use a Linux USB live USB and check the task manager to see the number of cores. Good luck!

They explained how to disable the system and what steps were needed. The issue was resolved by reinstalling Windows on the Linux USB drive.
