5.1, 5.0, 4.9, 4.8, 4.7, and 4.6 with different core counts. At these settings, the processor consistently hit its maximum single-core speed regardless of workload. The motherboard features DDR4-3300 memory (limited by the ES IMC), a voltage regulator at 1.4V, and various timings (tCL 16, tRP/RCD 22, etc.). I was operating on Windows 11 22H2 with speed shift disabled, and CPU cores performed well under load. Each core displayed unique clock speeds, with one reaching 4.9-5.1GHz while others lagged. Multi-core tests showed an average of around 3.2GHz AVX2, constrained by the PL1. Recently reinstalling Windows 11 23H2 caused instability; I observed the CPU consistently boosting to 5.1GHz across all cores, with no variation in clock speeds despite settings. BIOS OC remained at 4600MHz instead of the expected 5100MHz. Updating drivers didn’t resolve the problem. I attempted Easy Tune for core tuning but saw little improvement. Intel XTU also failed to stabilize performance. Adjusting all cores to 4.6GHz would restore stability but significantly reduced single-core speed. My goal is to enable smart CPU boosting without sacrificing efficiency.

These boards use budget-friendly chip designs aimed at affordability, often sacrificing optimal CPU power delivery. Restoring the BIOS to factory settings can restore default configurations.

The only change was the operating system. My BIOS preferences remained unchanged before and after. I frequently use programs that track and display clock speeds. Would you like me to tally them up? It doesn’t matter if it’s a lot or a few.

I received an Engineering Sample and expected it to function properly. I didn’t purchase a faulty component; it performed reliably for years. I understood what I was acquiring when I bought it. If I encounter difficulties now, it doesn’t imply the sample caused the problem. It’s too late to attribute the issue this way.

Try turning it on in the BIOS and observe any changes. Disable Windows 11 core isolation memory integrity and related VBS components. These settings block software from accessing CPU data, which could explain incorrect setup. BIOS settings are visible, but speed shift is acting oddly—clock behavior doesn't change even when adjusting it. I'll test manual speed shift via throttlestop. I'm fine with most power-saving options enabled, though speed shift affects latency. Ring down bin remains off because core ratio is set higher than -3. I'll monitor and update you soon.

The Balanced plan will reduce CPU performance under light load, potentially increasing latency. It appears the FIVR window's turbo settings are contributing to the issue. Adjusting the Defaults option in the left bottom corner of the FIVR window may help by reading the CPU's default turbo values. This approach works best with an ES processor.
