The processor is not operating.
Hey everyone. I received the green light from my local tech experts to upgrade my motherboard with a new GPU, CPU, and NVMe drive. They said it should be a simple process. After the first CPU install, I applied a good layer of thermal paste and spread it evenly before reattaching my AIO cooler. When I launched Windows, everything ran slower than usual. The AMD Adrenaline utility wouldn’t start, and it reported that no display was connected. My PC then blue-screened and displayed an overheating warning for my CPU. This issue kept recurring, even after reapplying the paste. Additionally, when I tried to install the drivers, AMD Adrenaline failed once more, and my new NVMe storage wasn’t showing up. Before anyone blames the AIO pump, I noticed one pipe felt noticeably hotter than the other. In BIOS it was showing normal temperatures, but when I put it under light stress, it jumped to around 65°C. Can someone assist me with this problem? My local tech team is too swamped to help right now.
I don't believe the heat is the issue unless you didn't install your AIO properly. Here are some steps I would follow: 1. Check for BIOS updates if available 2. Run DDU to remove the display driver and reinstall it from the AMD site. I'm sure these actions could help resolve your problem.
I’ll bring it up to another tech person and recommend it. The main issue is I might not have time to handle it before the CPU overheats again.
