I own an MSI Z590-A Pro Wi-Fi motherboard with two DDR4 sticks at 3600MHz, XMP 2.0 active, an unlocked Intel i9-11900K processor, and a 1000-watt power supply. I've refreshed the BIOS and adjusted only enhanced turbo to off while turning on XMP. Temperatures remain normal, but once I launch a game it rapidly rises to 100°C and barely drops below 90°C. My Lian-Li Galahad 360 AIO seems to be the culprit—possibly faulty. Even after reapplying thermal paste, the issue persists. No other changes have been made. I’m really struggling and would appreciate any advice.

Yes, you can check the pump's speed using a speed sensor or by observing its rotation directly.

There was a problem with the coolers from Lian-Li. You can verify if you were impacted by following this guide: https://lian-li.com/regarding-issues-wit...reloaded=1

How quickly it happens depends on the situation—your pump might stop, but there should still be sufficient temperature flexibility to avoid a sudden change.

I recall Lian Li mentioned a recall concerning certain Galahad AIOs. You can also feel the tubes from the AIO Pump to see if they're warming up. If either are cold while the CPU reaches 90-100°C, it suggests the fluid isn't flowing properly—possibly a dead pump or a blocked loop.

I reviewed the pump speed readings, which hover near 3400rpm. At temperatures between 90-100°F, the exhaust tubes from the AIO pump aren’t warming up as expected. I’ll recheck this later to confirm. I contacted Micro Center today to verify warranty status and learned my unit is part of the affected batch linked to the recall. It’s unusual—it was trouble-free for three years until recently. Could a clogged loop be resolved? Thanks for your quick replies!

The tubes from the pump appear to warm up quickly once the system hits 90-100 degrees. When I begin a game such as God of War: Ragnarok, the temperature drops instantly to around 86 degrees and then reaches 100 within five seconds. It does start to decrease, but not as low as the previous 60 degrees Celsius.

AIOs generally can't be fixed by users. You have two options: replace it with a Microcenter model if possible, or reach out to Lian-Li via the article's link to obtain a replacement cooler.

It ceased to function. The process involves copper and aluminum reacting, forming a solid in the cooler section.

It seems the micro center won't accept the replacement. I completed the update yesterday using the provided link. While waiting, could you suggest any options with throttlestop or Intel XTU to help manage CPU temps? I've adjusted turbo boost settings and max clock speeds, but it still stutters sometimes. The temperature is manageable when turbo is off, though it struggles under boost. I'm trying to keep it stable but unsure what works best.
