Recently I upgraded to water cooling and naturally increased my CPU and GPU speeds. I upgraded my CPU from 3.4 to 4.5 @ 1.45V and my GPU from 1.0 to 1.5. A few months before overclocking, I had a 15000 which was on the lower side for my setup. After overclocking, it fell to 12000. I turned off my GPU overclock and it came back down to 9000, so I reinstalled it. Then I lowered my CPU to 4.3 @ 1.25V and achieved a score of 11000. I completely removed it and the demo performed poorly, but I still got a 12000? What’s happening? Everyone mentions thermal throttling, but my temperatures stay under 60°C. I’m really confused.

Middle score, 14298: That GPU score is more in line with what I'd expect from a 980ti at near stock clocks. Your CPU clock seems to be a bit unstable, or it would have scored higher here on the physics portion of the test.
Third score, 12103: GPU score is terrible. Physics score is what I'd expect to see at that CPU clock. Now, your GPU clock seems to be unstable at 1527.
First thing I'd do, is run DDU and uninstall all of your GPU drivers. Then, do a clean install. Trial and error....that's what benchmarking is about. Finding out what works best for you, and...

i lost the silicon lottery xd
tried to dial to normal clock speed and check the score
if it's better, then yes, you're really unlucky losing the silicon lottery
if not, it means there might be an issue with your rig

I restored the original configurations and tried again, but the result was even more problematic. The average score is between 16 and 17,000. What’s happening?

I reviewed system usage earlier: GPU clocks remain stable at 100%, CPU clocks drop slightly, and usage stays around 30-60%. Drivers are current. No other system adjustments except I applied a heatspreader to my RAM (removed from the chip) and added cable extensions.
It’s odd because I noticed a 30% jump in my Cinebench scores. PUBG appears to be performing similarly, possibly just a bit worse.

I'm not entirely sure this relates to overclocking.
The 14000 score came from this summer. I used an air cooler and ran everything stock. Now, when I attempt the stock benchmark, it drops to 9000. The 9000 uses stock default BIOS, fan curves, and afterburner settings.
To reach close to 14000 again, I need to heavily overclock both CPU and GPU. Drivers didn't help. I plan to do a clean driver install; this might be the solution. After that, I'll format my hard drive and retry everything.
I think it's more about software—if my GPU were a brick, it would likely either function or fail completely. It would be odd if it got damaged and now performance is halved.
