Hey there! The latest from EverythingApplePro covers the JB update for iOS 10.1.1. Since you're on 10.2, you can still upgrade without losing everything—your backup is safe. Let me know if you need more details! (Alex)

Verify if 10.1.1 remains authenticated by Apple; otherwise, you can't downgrade. If you're really committed to Jailbreak, consider limiting iOS updates. A backup is wise. Why go with Jaibreak? Have you tried this before?

Apple prevents downgrading unless we remain within the timeframe, according to dexter's note. It turns out 10.1.1 is still valid. https://ipsw.me/10.1.1

I completed the update and it functioned properly. However, all my contacts were lost and notifications are now only showing app names without options to hide them. They stay visible unless you swipe away, which is frustrating since they shouldn't be that restrictive in settings. I was thinking about customizing my phone because a friend has a JB and I really want to personalize it. Any suggestions for fixing the notification problem?

Ensure you restore to the prior backup before making any updates.

No prior copies existed. A HDD problem forced me to erase files, which also deleted my iPhone backup due to its size.
