Hello! Your specs are exactly as you described. You overclocked your CPU to 4.4 with a voltage of 1.28V, following a friend's instructions. After updating the BIOS, you attempted an overclock yourself. You used the AI overclock tuner in auto mode, set sync all cores, and entered 44 for core ratio. For the CPU core/cache voltage, you chose manual with an offset of 1.28. Your issue is that the CPU is now running at 1.296V and even higher under stress, which is not what you intended. I’m not sure what’s causing this problem.
Offset refers to the voltage threshold permitted beyond the existing Vcore, correct? I'm trying to understand if the value you're entering sets the CPU limit to 1.28V above the standard Vcore, rather than a fixed 1.28V. Vcore and offset are different concepts.
i'm sorry i got you mixed up. the cpu core voltage is overide when i type 1.28v. it might help to adjust the cpu load line calibrations; my board seems too loose with the llc, causing the voltage to drop, while a tighter setting keeps it stable. currently i'm at level 3 on my board, which maintains the voltage near the set level, whereas level 1 is the most stable and level 8 is the least stable.
my friend returned and assisted me. i switched the ai overclock tuner to manual mode, and it functioned properly.
