Hello, I received this setup for my sister – i7-12700 paired with an Asus B660-F board. Before purchasing, I learned that voltage offset was an option, but it’s currently disabled in the BIOS. Intel xtu also mentions that undervolt protection is active, though I don’t have that feature either. The BIOS version is 1620. Can this setting be reactivated somehow? I’ve noticed Cinebench temperatures can hit around 75°C with a Noctua u12a, which is higher than ideal for gaming. I’d like to enable voltage offset if it helps reduce noise, even though it means accepting a bit more heat.

Adjust the fan curve accordingly. When voltage is hidden, explore the BIOS settings to find any automatic ASUS utility that restricts manual controls. Often this is managed through XMP configurations, and turning XMP on may attempt to activate their automatic OC/boost features, forcing the CPU to run at a single-core frequency across all cores.

I adjusted the voltage using an offset for a friend with an ASUS board. The ideal setting felt unusual, so I switched to "Adaptive" mode for "Cache/Core Voltage" and added an offset afterward.

I found this post online. Does it remind you of anything?
