Initially, the laptop functioned flawlessly upon purchase, however, recently performance has drastically slowed down.

My system details are as follows:
Intel Core i7 (8750H) at 2.20 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB of VRAM
24 GB of RAM
It is an ASUS laptop featuring a 1920x1080 display.
Furthermore, all of my drivers are current.
I previously posted a similar discussion and received some suggestions, yet this only provided temporary relief; the issue was resolved with the addition of a cooling pad.

System requirements are typically detailed for the primary desktop version of a game (which consumes significantly more energy than portable, streamlined editions). If these games performed adequately previously, the laptop may be overheating because of accumulated dirt or obstructed ventilation ports. Alternatively, the games themselves could have received performance-reducing updates.

Is your laptop experiencing excessive warmth? Try cleaning it internally.

System requirements are generally specified for the larger desktop version of a game (which demands significantly more processing power than portable laptop versions). If these games performed adequately previously, the notebook may be overheating due to accumulated dust or blocked ventilation. Alternatively, the games themselves might have received performance-reducing updates.
