To adjust your friend's PC settings for optimal performance, you'll need to update the BIOS/UEFI firmware. The motherboard model Corsair 5600MHZ supports BIOS updates, and ensuring the system runs smoothly from 2023 involves checking compatibility with newer drivers and power management settings. Verify the CPU cooler (Cooler Master Corsair iCE4) is properly installed and functioning, and confirm the RAM sticks are correctly seated. Adjust power settings in BIOS to balance performance and energy efficiency.

The problem appears due to incorrect microcode causing the CPU to demand excessive voltage from the motherboard. A BIOS update is scheduled that should resolve the issue (it stops further damage but won't undo any loss). The most recent BIOS includes a partial solution allowing you to choose a power-saving profile.

You cannot use that board. It operates normally but due to Intel's incorrect stock settings, some users are experiencing problems that require a new CPU to resolve.
