Hi, I'm using Windows 10 Pro and my Epson Stylus cx5600 printer is functioning properly. I can print without any issues. However, when I power off the computer, the printer remains on (which is acceptable). But once I restart the PC, the printer shuts off. (The exact moment it turns off is when Windows completes booting and reaches the desktop.)

I'm trying to find a way to stop the printer from turning off every time I turn on my PC. I've already tried several solutions and none worked.

Things I've already attempted:
- Using different cables or USB ports
- Removing the printer and downloading drivers from the official site
- Adding the following steps:
- I tested the printer on this computer with Windows 10 without issues.
- After a reboot, I can turn the printer back on and print without problems. The issue is that the printer consumes a small amount of ink each time it powers on, and since I turn off my PC every night, that means I'm wasting a lot of ink.
- Three days ago, I performed a fresh Windows 10 installation. Before that, I had Windows 7 installed. When I turned off and then back on the PC, the printer never turned off unless I manually disabled it.

The printer isn't in a suspended state or anything similar; it turns off immediately after Windows 10 loads.

If the printer tries to print after the PC is turned on, an Epson status dialog appears stating that the computer can't communicate with the printer (meaning "the printer is off, please turn it on"). After I turn it back on, it prints normally without issues.

Additional details:
- When the printer is activated, its green power LED lights up and doesn't blink.
- Once the PC is turned off, the green power LED starts blinking.
- After restarting the PC, the green power LED continues to blink.
- Right at the moment Windows reaches the desktop, the LED stops blinking for two seconds before turning off (which is when the printer shuts down).
- I don't want to waste a lot of printer ink, aside from the inconvenience of having to turn it on daily. Also, this could eventually damage the printer's components.

The printer does not have a display or menu window on its own. On page 34, the "View Print Setting Summary" is shown. No power-related settings were observed. Page 74 mentions running a Printer Check, which was completed while disconnected. Based on the check, it appears the printer is functioning. Check if the correct Windows 10 driver is installed and consider downloading it again from Epson's site.

Examine the Windows 10 power options:
"WIN" + "I" leads to System > Power & Sleep
Can you access the Epson printer's configuration pages that outline its settings?

I reviewed the power and sleep configurations, and in the extra power settings the preferred plan is "balanced". I also turned off the "USB selective suspend setting" as they didn<|pad|> to suggest, but there are still no improvements. How can I view the printer's configuration settings? The driver includes an app named "Epson Status Monitor" which is mainly useful for setting up the printer before printing, but it doesn't manage power settings.
