12900kf remains available for the same price even after the Zen update. What’s going on? Any updates?

Intel processors seldom decrease in cost because of fresh drops, whereas AMD models tend to maintain their worth over time. We should have noticed how the 6700K and 7700K kept their value for many years.

Move discussions to relevant threads about CPUs, motherboards, and memory. Past mentions are noted, but using offensive language won't get constructive replies.

Intel rarely cuts prices on new chips, and older high-end Intel parts tend to be overpriced in the secondary market due to misunderstanding. Even with this in mind, it doesn’t really make sense to anticipate a sudden surge of used 12th-gen i7’s and i9’s when replacements are only announced and not yet available. Would you believe people will simply sell their current CPUs and then stop using their PCs for weeks until they can afford the new ones?

Intel doesn't reduce their prices. What would they do? Then no one would purchase their latest products. The same applies to the used i7 7700k—it remains pricier than the 8700k, despite being significantly inferior.

It's true that this situation is real and has occurred many times before. Generally, good offers appear during these periods.
