Apologies in advance for my English. I just need to build a new PC. Unfortunately, my home electricity is too low for the 1000W PSU and other devices. Power has been out three times since the new PC was installed. The house power is at 2200W (which is 80% of the required 2800W). My daily usage includes one PC, two AC units, two TVs, a clothes iron, and a water pump (250W).

PC specifications: 6950 xt, 13700kf, 32GB DDR5, 5 xMP 6400MHz, 1000W PSU.

I’ve checked Device Manager, but there’s no LAN/ethernet listed anywhere (hidden checked), and the BIOS LAN is enabled by default. I’ve tested the Ethernet cable across devices—it works on my Wi-Fi router and old PC. The most likely issue is that the port light has stopped working; there’s no indication when the LAN cable is connected.

Right now, I’m using the built-in WiFi for connections.

My questions:
1. Everything appears to be functioning, but is it safe to use the PC for gaming or other tasks? If the port (integrated into the board) is damaged or faulty, could it affect other components?
2. I plan to visit a local shop tomorrow to repair the board. Is that possible? Or should I consider downgrading the PSU to 850W and using a USB-to-Ethernet dongle instead? (6950 xt, 13700kf, 32GB DDR5 xMP 6400MHz)
3. What safety measures should I take going forward? (e.g., UPS or surge protector?)

Please help. Thank you.

There is no method to predict how your motherboard will perform in the future due to power issues. It's important to determine the power capacity of your PSU. An upgrade is usually advised, particularly if there are existing power stability concerns.

Thank you for your response, yes I'll adjust my electricity wattage right away. I'm attempting to repair this board tomorrow. Are there any problems caused by a power outage that might affect the warranty?

The warranty applies to manufacturer-related problems.
Issues not caused by the user or internal factors.
Replacement options can be easily rejected.
