It seems neither of the SATA cables I connected was plugged into my SSD, so I'm assuming it's an M.2 drive on the back of the motherboard...

Inspected the rear side of the motherboard too, but didn’t locate it—I feel like my SSD simply disappeared.

I discovered some old records from where I purchased it, and it seems it didn’t include an SSD. My best idea is they just created a partition of the HDD and labeled it as Boot SSD with 126GB. Thanks a lot for your assistance—it really means a lot! At least I was able to take apart my whole computer, which is always enjoyableTongue I’m not overly upset about it.
