When I attempt to use a PlayStation 4 controller, the charging indicator illuminates upon connection. Despite repeatedly pressing the reset button on the device – since it lacks Bluetooth connectivity – no action occurs.

The device is malfunctioning and requires assistance to operate.

I’ve attempted both troubleshooting methods detailed on this link—https://windowsreport.com/ps4-controller-windows-10/#—but it remains unacknowledged by the system.

Have you employed an input mapper? I've utilized it on several computers—around two or three—and it has consistently functioned. Curious, have you attempted different USB ports on your machine?

I have. Every time, the yellow light signifying charging simply illuminated.

Have you experimented with a different cable? If not, please verify that it is a data and charging cable rather than just a charging one.

You can utilize DS4Windows while connected to power—that’s how I operate my PlayStation controller.
