This picture comes from NVIDIA's official trailer. A new version is being created to include ray tracing. It seems a 21-year-old game should handle such advanced graphics surprisingly well!

You're curious about balancing realism and performance in your project. How much of ray tracing are you willing to sacrifice for speed?

They focus on ray tracing and DLSS as the next steps, but we still need more RT cores compared to CUDA cores. That could really boost performance over DLSS.

I enjoy RT a lot. It enhances the visuals significantly.

Back then, 30 frames per second was sufficient for the average user... few could handle a high-end machine without experiencing delays... grew up with the lag.

I’d like to view the PT/RT contrast against normal HL2 without extra visual effects. I think it would look almost identical since the game uses fixed scenes and pre-baked lighting.

Encourage people to purchase the latest hardware. However, if the Half-Life 2 remix resembles the Portal remix, it might ruin the game's style by adding too many graphics features. The positive side is you can still enjoy the original version exactly as intended.

I recall hearing about the remix of Kleiner's lab; what came to mind was it resembled Fallout 4 more than Half-Life 2.
