This feature isn't present on all Windows 11 versions. It seems to be disabled in some builds, possibly affecting certain Microsoft apps. You might need to check your account settings or contact support for more details. A workaround could involve using alternative login methods.

is that a thing, or are you just spewing MS hatred here? i cant seem to find any source stating they changed how singing only into an app worked.. because that would be a serious problem for *ALL* their business users.

I don’t dislike Microsoft; I just dislike Windows 11 and what comes with it. No other concerns there. They sent back the one-month trial. Hey, are you even trying to talk to me respectfully?

I discuss topics openly without hostility, but when you throw out vague or negative comments unrelated to the question, it often leads to more negativity. "Sign in to this app only" plays a significant role in the M365 environment; if there were changes to it, we’d expect extensive documentation since many businesses would need to adjust their processes. Regarding strawmanning, I didn’t imply dislike for Microsoft—I just wanted to know if this was a recent update or a negative remark about something they did. My only Windows 11 system hasn’t received the 25H2 update yet, so I can’t confirm what exactly changed. However, I set up a new Windows 11 machine for a family member a few months ago, and everything worked fine without affecting personal account access.

I've noticed some unusual behavior where the login process seems to automatically sign you in for most of the app, leaving only the prompt for this specific service. This issue appears on AD-joined systems but seems isolated to recent cases—last month or so. It might be a minor glitch, though it's definitely odd. If it happens, you should be able to switch between accounts. In the worst scenario, consider using separate work and home profiles on your system as always recommended.

I tried it and got signed into every store app plus any MS365 software on the system. But not all accounts allowed switching apps, so I had to manually adjust credentials for each one. I also checked a machine with Windows 11 Pro 23h2 build 22631.6199—it showed the same issue. There was no way to sign in just once per app. Luckily, my profile stayed local.

I haven't noticed any updates lately. The "Sign in to Apps" button grants access to all MS applications without changing the user's profile to a cloud account. It seems this has likely been the standard for several years.

The device with Windows 10 keeps letting me log in to just one application, which is puzzling. It seems this happened after I recently upgraded to Windows 11.
