I own an iPhone XR (in the second public beta, though this isn't a bug—it's just an iOS quirk) and I can no longer type the letter I (like when I went to the store) without my phone auto-correcting it to O. Here’s a screenshot.

It's similar. You face comparable issues on Android too. It's hard to distinguish between "were" and "we're" along with a few other words.
