The PCIe cable isn't fully inserted into the port.
I've been attempting to reinstall a graphics card onto my PC, but the PCIe power cable isn't fully seated. It fits just before the clip snaps and won't go any deeper no matter what I do. Any assistance would be really helpful! I'm certain it's going in the correct orientation. It inserts roughly 60 to 70% of the way before stopping completely. There are no bent pins. I've looked for dust or obstructions and found nothing. When trying to turn on the computer, the screen shows a message asking to power down and connect the PCIe power cable(s) for this graphics card.
Images of the item in question—without turning it on, of course? Also, here are the complete system details.
CPU model: Ryzen 7 5800X
RAM capacity: 32GB
Memory type: Corsair
Storage device: 1TB Samsung SSD
GPU: NVIDIA Quadro RTX P6000
Power supply: Corsair RM850

It probably includes the cpu-power 8-pin design, since PCIe 8-pin combined with board power isn't sufficient for a 250W TDP according to official details.
You've switched to a cable from your power supply unit rather than using a possibly unreliable adapter. It seems NVIDIA has altered its specifications for the 8-pin PCIe, which is actually a secure change.
Update: Looks like it’s an issue with the power adapter. Found another one that plugged in fine with no issues.
The adapter was included with the card, yet I discovered a different one that resolved the problem.
They’re opting for an adapter over a direct connection, which is simply inferior.
