Reading back through that one "constant" is the problem comes on and off often. If it's broken down sometimes, it might be because something isn't tight enough. Maybe when the system starts working and gets hot, it expands and squeezes the connection tighter until everything works fine again before you shut it all down for good. There could also just be a little bump or jostling needed to get it started up again. = = = = Power off, unplug everything, open the box. Take out dust and junk stuff. Check by looking at it and feeling around to make sure every wire, card, memory stick, jumpers, and case connection is stuck in firmly. If you're not sure, just take the wires out and put them back on. Do the same for things that only fit one way like slots. Leave the CPU sitting there for a bit. Use a bright light to look really closely for any signs of damage: exposed wire showing, insulation melting, spots turned brown or black, swollen parts, rust, moisture, twisted or pinched wires, loose or missing screws, cracks, scratches, dead bugs, bent supports, gaps in the soldering, anything that feels loose at all.

It's just one thing: you gotta unplug it, plug it again, and check everything before you start fresh. I wiped away the grime on my brand new PSU after connecting all the wires.

I am completely stuck on ideas. Just one thought - is this motherboard okay? https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/...dr...?model=ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI [Make sure I got the right User Manual]. Check the LEDs on pages 1-22 and 1-23. Check while it's running, after you turn it off, before trying to start up again, after a failed attempt, and once everything starts working correctly. Go through the Q-Code table (Appendix A) at the end of the manual to see what those codes mean. Try this process a few times. It might be some mix of errors... Keep notes so you can compare them later.

Check if the PS_ON line drops down to zero when you push the power button. That pin is located at position 16 on the main power plug.
