Hey guys, I just got a Ryzen 7 3700x with an MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk. I also have some RAM: Corsair LPX Vengeance 2x8gb running at 3000mhz and marked as C15. When I turn my pc on, it starts at a low speed of 2133mhz instead of what's supposed to be. So I tried turning on the XMP setting in BIOS hoping to get full speed up to 3000mhz. But then the cpu errorz bug came on and I got a black screen (even though there was power). Basically, using that XMP profile for 3000mhz is making my pc fail to start right now. Any advice here? My PC setup includes: MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk, Ryzen 7 3700x, GTX 1060 with 6GB of video memory, ASUS ROG STRIX, Corsair RM650x power supply, Crucial MX300 hard drive (SSD), Western Digital 1TB HDD, and that same Corsair LPX RAM again.

Corsair Vengeance RAM is hard to make work at top speed when you use a Ryzen chip. Just try setting the XMP profile but then drop the DRAM frequency down to 2866 MHz and see if it starts up. Then try going even lower to 2933 MHz and check if that works too. Another option is to go into those settings manually for Primary timings and DRAM voltage as shown in their guide at this link: https://www.corsair.com/corsairmedia/sys...gGuide.pdf

Maybe... even though the memory is marked as 3000, it doesn't work at that speed on your computer. Memory works sometimes or other times. If you can't see the BIOS settings, just reset the CMOS to its starting point and try again. I don't know why the CPU debug light turns on in this case though.
