Hey everyone, I’m dealing with a problem where my SSD kept failing. As the system overheated, it would disappear and then get stuck in BIOS because it couldn’t recognize the drive until it cooled down. I replaced the SSD and tried using a brand new one. I began with a Windows 11 bootable USB, entered the license code, but it said it couldn’t install Windows because the system wasn’t compatible. My BIOS already had Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 enabled, which is normal for my AMD system. I’m confused about why this new setup is causing issues with installing Windows now.
Use Rufus to install, turn on bypass mode and force the setup. Windows 11 can be tricky sometimes.
Rufus is a USB installer tool available at https://rufus.ie/en/. Use a different machine to download the Windows 11 ISO via the Windows Media Creation Tool at https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software.../windows11. Choose the USB drive, pick the Windows ISO file, and enable the bypass option if needed. Flash the USB to create a working Windows 11 installation for your PC. ^^ Image sourced from the Rufus website. Make sure the first checkbox is selected. The rest can be adjusted as desired.
Hi, I don’t see that bypass checkbox. (Sorry for the German—can you tell me where to look for it?)
German is acceptable. You should choose "Image-Eigenschaft" and then pick Extended Install.
The manual combines outdated Windows versions with screenshots, lacks BIOS details, and focuses mainly on updates. It seems inconsistent and incomplete. There’s a mix of terminology that varies by manufacturer, making it hard to understand. To resolve issues, you’ll need to examine the UEFI settings directly or share screenshots for clearer guidance. The current approach isn’t helpful, so providing more visual references would be beneficial. BioStar hasn’t offered sufficient support either.
