I'm facing random PC freezes that began right after installing new RAM. My intention was to upgrade from 32GB to 64GB. The system boots normally and operates well, but it freezes unpredictably. The freezing disappears immediately when I launch a different program. I've been trying various solutions without success.

Details:
Random freezes occur but resolve upon opening another application. The problem started right after installing the new RAM.

System specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B650M-A AX6 II
RAM:
TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB DDR5 64GB (2x32GB)
6000MHz CL38-38-38-78 1.35V
Old RAM:
Team Group UD5-6000
2x16GB, 32GB DIMM 4800MHz (clocked @ 6000MHz) CL38-46-46-84 1.35V
Graphics:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
Storage:
1 TB NVMe Gen4 primary drive
Extra drive:
Crucial P3 Plus 4TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD
Power supply: 850W GOLD ATX 3.0
CPU cooler: 360mm ARGB AIO liquid cooler - Skytech
Fans: 9
OS: Windows 11

Troubleshooting actions:
Confirmed RAM is correctly installed.
Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic.
Verified compatibility with motherboard manual.
Tested fresh RAM and a 4-pack of original sticks.
Adjusted BIOS settings, changed RAM speeds to 5600MHz and 5200MHz.
Checked each RAM stick separately to exclude faults.
Updated motherboard BIOS to latest version.
Installed the latest AMD and NVIDIA drivers.
Applied general hardware acceleration fixes.

I'm at a standstill and welcome any suggestions. Please share your best ideas!

Power Supply:
850W GOLD ATX 3.0
850W represents the stated power output, while gold denotes the 80+ efficiency claim. What is the model and age of this device?

CPU Cooler:
360mm AIO
The size refers to the dimensions of the AIO unit. What is your cooler's make and model?

Problem:
Random PC freezes, but it stops when a new program is opened. The problem began right after installing fresh RAM.
Attempted to run the PC with brand new RAM (four sticks). It seems you're combining both RAM kits to reach 96GB total. Avoid mixing RAM sticks from different kits—like wearing mismatched clown shoes instead of matching ones.
Performed a Windows Memory Diagnostic via https://www.memtest86.com/ for 10 cycles.

Motherboard:
ASUS PRIME B650M-A AX6 II
Updated the BIOS to the most recent release. Could you confirm the current BIOS version?

Power supply
- Not exactly new, but it's around 3 months old.
CPU Cooler
- 360mm ARGB AIO (all-in-one) liquid cooler - Skytech
Issue
- I'm currently using 2x32. For troubleshooting, I also purchased 2 more sticks of the same original RAM, bringing the total to 4x16. The same problem persists. I never mixed or matched them.
Mobo version
- 3278
Someone recommended replacing my current sticks with CL30 timing ones. They think this might help because CL38 kits at 2×32 can stress the memory controller. Any opinions?

It's the opposite, lower Cl and related settings tend to cause the memory controller to work harder.
I'm not a Teamgroup RaM for Ryzen fans; Kingston generally works best with AMD devices.
x3D Ryzen models are affected by RAM timings and speeds because of their extra cache and synchronization needs.

Do you experience identical freezing issues when using just one RAM stick and EXPO turned off, and does switching to a different single stick not resolve the problem? What results from performing the AIDA64 stress test?
