I recently assembled a R5 3600 NVidia 2060 setup and it has been functioning smoothly until I began using demanding games. At that point, my PC would randomly restart without any warning, followed by the motherboard screen appearing during the reboot. To troubleshoot, I ran a Cinebench stress test, which consistently ended after about one-fourth of the test duration. Anyone have experience with this issue? What might be causing these shutdowns?

Possible reasons could include:
- The PSU cable is missing the 4-pin ATX12v2 CPU connector for the motherboard
- The CPU overheats, reaching 36°C in Ryzen Master while browsing and up to 55°C during a game
- The case fans aren’t providing sufficient airflow or my Hyper 212 black RGB edition isn’t cooling the system effectively

You might attempt to remove the GPU and check if the system operates smoothly.

Your device may be shutting down due to overheating. A new cooler and thermal paste are necessary. The additional four pins on a 24-pin connector provide extra power support; if the system attempts to draw more than available, it will fail.

I own the Hyper 212 Evo RGB Black Edition, and according to the reviews it has a decent air cooler that seems to work. However, I think the issue might be related to the case's poor ventilation, which isn't cooling the cooler sufficiently. If I need to upgrade, I'll look into replacing the cooler. Regarding the 4 pin connector, I'm curious if during high-performance games it could fail due to lack of power. Would switching to an 8 pin to 8+4 pin adapter work, or would I need a different power supply?

The additional energy is required only when the parts you're employing rely entirely on the motherboard for power.

I have an AsRock B550 Pro 4 as my motherboard, and I’m not sure if it provides enough power to cover things like the keyboard, mouse, or USB ports on the board. Since I use them a lot.

Peripherals don't need additional power. The extra power typically handles PCI-E.

It seems the graphics card isn't providing sufficient power, leading to crashes.

Consider deleting the GPU and check if the system operates smoothly.
