There’s also a UPS available. This helps explain why some troubleshooting steps include listing specifications. We’ll need two additional cords and one more device to check. A PSU does more than just convert power—it also filters it. Those large capacitors inside are essential for that purpose. It’s possible an aging PSU isn’t delivering the correct voltage and might be interfering with the system. A quick check: connect it directly to the wall and see if the issue resolves. Just be careful, as plugging a UPS straight into the wall can cause issues.
hello, I just discovered something interesting. From what I noticed, most shutdowns occurred while I was using Google Chrome, especially while watching Twitch. Since yesterday I switched to Firefox and attempted to recreate the issue, it hasn’t happened in nearly 24 hours. I didn’t install a new Windows after updating the BIOS and installing the new CPU, so it’s possible this is related. I’m planning to try a Windows repair tool and might consider replacing the PSU if it works.
Google Chrome is known for consuming memory quickly. The top dogs are the ones that sleep well. If you really want to stay sharp, consider reinstalling Chrome and running memtest86 several times before bedtime. Just do it if you’re determined to keep going.
I believe it would be better to reinstall Windows. It's been too long since the last memtest, and all my 4 RAM tests took 16 hours with no errors.
