I experienced this problem twice: my PC would start for about 20 seconds before shutting down, then restart after turning it back on. It only works again when I reboot the BIOS via CMOS. After doing that, everything functions normally. I’ve looked into Event Viewer and confirmed no errors. The time gap between these incidents exceeded a month. I updated the BIOS, chipset drivers, and AMD GPU drivers. My system specs are: X760E Taichi 7950X, 7900XTX, 1000 EVGA PSU, 32GB RAM, GPU: G-Skill.

Could be a minor issue with the BIOS settings. What RAM speed are you using? It’s probably not a problem if it only occurred once and the system functions normally after startup.

The system runs at 4800MHz while the expo is configured for 6000MHz. Both settings need a CMOS reset. I’ve observed that the CPU cooler/fan won’t activate after the CMOS reset, which might indicate an issue with the cooler—so I’m considering replacing it just to be safe. I own a 280 Arctic II.

It seems unlikely a cooler would lead to boot issues. The 6000 MHz target is challenging, while the 7950x3d supports up to 5200 MHz.

I believed 6000mhz was the optimal frequency and it was intended for my motherboard.

I've used this computer for about a year and it runs at 6000MHz, but I'm not entirely confident.
