My pc would freeze completely.
When i turn it off as a result i can't turn it on, the screen remains black with
EZ debug VGA light on
.
Power draining fixes the issue momentarily but that's it.
I reckon it's a voltage issue, since
i had an issue with installing windows 11 on NVMe that could only be fixed by changing the outlet
, but I'm not really sure?
My setup is the following:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600,
Motherboard: MSI A520M-A pro,
RAM: 2*16 Gb Corsair Vengeance RGB RS 3200 GHz CL16,
SSD: WD_BLACK SN850X,
GPU: GTX 3060 12Gb Ventus 2X,
PSU: Aerocool LUX 750W
This problem occurs too frequently when I boot from my NVMe, happened a couple of times in the past when I booted from the SATA SSD, and it also happened while in the BIOS.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Since I'm struggling right now, I wanted to double-check before making any big decisions and getting a good power supply.

Good quality PSU, borderline mediocre quality PSU. Tier A-.
NZXT C650 is also solid unit. Uses Seasonic Focus Gold platform. Tier A.

But may be a little bit too less wattage wise for RTX 3060 and it's insane transient power spikes.
MSI 750W unit would be safer bet to soak in the transient power spikes.
There's also Antec EA550G Pro, which is good quality PSU, Tier A-, but it is only 550W unit. So, wattage wise, too less.
Other PSUs within budget are inferior quality (mediocre, like Corsair CX-F RGB), low quality or even complete crap (Aerocool).

Thanks to both of you, I appreciate your feedback. I'm curious about what makes the Aerocool so bad. I've been using it for two years without any issues—until maybe recently. Just out of curiosity, not questioning your opinion.

Poor quality parts, simple design. No quality checks during production. There are numerous causes. You've had some good fortune with just two years 🙂
