You can also navigate to the task scheduler and open Task Library, then select Microsoft, then Defrag, and verify that the scheduled defrag task is turned off.

I switched it off. It was scheduled for weekly. If it starts again this evening, I’ll share it here again. If not, I’ll check next week. Appreciate the update.

It could be a disk failure issue, but it only happened once, turned it off, and it never came back. Who is the person in your profile picture? For reference.
