I upgraded my system from an i5 7400 to a more recent configuration, including a 1060 6GB, H110M ECO, and various storage components. The process has been unstable, with frequent black screens and fans running at maximum speed unexpectedly, especially during games or while watching movies. I've reinstalled Windows multiple times, suspecting the issue might be linked to GIGABYTE software, but it persists even after fresh installs. I've tested with one RAM stick at a time, performed stress tests, and still encountered overheating without any RAM problems. OCBASE/OCCT tests and Furmark benchmarks showed issues, though the fan behavior remained inconsistent. I also tried uninstalling via DDU and NVIDIA drivers, but nothing resolved the problem. Additionally, I experienced crashes during Windows boot, with the system going black and fans reaching full speed immediately. The report from WhoCrashed indicated a crash dump file and a bug related to DirectX graphics. Despite these challenges, my previous PC with the same components worked flawlessly. If anyone has insights or solutions, I’d appreciate hearing them.

Look in Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer.
If there are increasing numbers of errors and/or varying errors that makes, in my mind, the PSU very suspect.
Is is possible to swap in another known working PSU? Be sure to use only the cables that come with that PSU.

Also, be sure that all important data is backed up at least 2 x to locations away from the problem system.
Verify that the backups are recoverable and readable.
What BIOS version is installed on your motherboard?
I’ve reinstalled Windows multiple times, but it’s still functioning, so I’m not sure if the issue lies with the GIGABYTE software or something else.
Try recreating a bootable USB installer for the OS to check for corruption, then install offline using only the intended drive connected, and finally manually add drivers in an elevated command (right-click installer > Run as Administrator).
For your i5 14600KF, it would have been better to use a Z series chipset motherboard instead of a K SKU processor.

Yes, the motherboard is correct. I placed one stick in A2 and the other in B2, just as shown (not my photo). Both sfc and dism didn't locate anything.
