Hello, I started assembling my first PC just a week ago from this article, and everything functioned smoothly with optimal temperatures. The main problem I’m facing is that whenever I put the PC to sleep, it won’t restart automatically with even a slight mouse movement or power button press. I’m forced to completely shut it down using the power button and wait a moment before turning it back on. I can wake up with the mouse and keyboard activated, but I recently tried enabling ErP and confirmed my drivers/chipset are up to date. It’s worth noting that all internal components power up fans and lights, but nothing appears on the screen. Although the PC operates correctly, it bothers me not being able to leave it running while eating lunch and then simply move the mouse to bring it back online. Anyone else had this issue before or do you have any suggestions? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Desktop PCs putting their heads down are the problem. Disable fastboot in Windows. Turn off sleep and hibernation features. Press Windows key + L to lock the screen and return when prompted.

Yes, you meant to configure it to never sleep, after which the system should stay active. The shutdown settings have been changed and sleep/hibernation disabled, so setting it to "never" should resolve the issue.

Ensure the display and disk remain active at all times. Fastboot achieves this as well. When your PC is powered on, it won't restart automatically before a reboot. You can also adjust "power saving" settings in the BIOS if you're comfortable with that.
