The PC refuses to start.
Hello, today my PC refuses to start. When I power it up, the CPU debug light comes on and nothing else occurs, while the fans spin loudly. I've inspected all connectors, tested RAM in various slots, used a single stick of RAM and got nothing. I've recorded a video highlighting the problem, sorry for any noise—I'm still feeling unwell. The specs are: R3 2200G, 2x8GB, 2666MHz RAM, Bequiet 500W power supply, 11-pin PSU, MSI B450M PRO-VDH, Crucial P2 M2, 2280 SSD, Arctic Freezer 34, eSports dual CPU cooler (name not remembered).
Hi aspyrek, sorry to hear your computer isn't starting. There might be several reasons behind this problem, making it hard to pinpoint without more details. Here are some possible actions you can take: Verify that the CPU cooler is correctly attached and that all its mounting parts are firmly in place. If you have a backup power supply or motherboard, you could test them to check if the issue lies with those parts. Should these suggestions not resolve the problem, consider clearing the CMOS. This setting on the motherboard manages basic hardware configurations. To clear it, find the CMOS battery on your board and remove it briefly before putting it back. Refer to your motherboard's manual for exact steps. If you've gone through these and the computer still won't boot, a hardware fault might be present. In that scenario, it would be wise to bring your machine to a repair service or reach out to the manufacturer for assistance. I hope this helps! Feel free to ask more questions if needed.
Sorry, there’s nothing you can do at the moment. If none of these steps work, it could mean you have a hardware problem needing more help. In that situation, getting a computer technician’s assistance would be beneficial. Testing a different motherboard or CPU could also help resolve the issue.
