The PC powers on and then restarts multiple times.
I just began using it and saw a message like "your overclocking settings have failed reverting changes to default." It then led me to the BIOS settings. After saving and exiting, I returned to the welcome screen which froze. I shut it down and now the power button cycles on for a second, then off, and sometimes turns on again by itself. If I unplug the power source, the PC briefly powers back on. This is strange since there seems to be no power. Any advice would be appreciated.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
Does the time keep resetting in your motherboard BIOS? You might want to see if replacing the CMOS battery with a fresh cell helps.
Apologies, I overlooked the specifications.
Processor: i5 7400
Cooler: stock
Motherboard: I think it's B110M
RAM: Corsair 2x8GB 2400MHz
HDD: Toshiba 1TB
GPU: RX 560 (swapped GT730 didn't help)
PSU: 650W Njoy Gold
Case: I don’t know
Operating System: Windows 10
Monitor: Dell 24G22 165Hz
PSU age: probably 3-4 years or more
It won’t let me enter BIOS because it shuts down before booting
