The PC operates correctly without DOCP.
I own a motherboard: Asus Prime b450 plus with a Ryzen 5 5600g CPU, Radeon RX 6600 GPU, G.Skill RipjawsV RAM (8GB total, two 4GB modules), and I used a DOCP profile at 3200Mhz. About two months ago I faced some strange crashes, and I wasn’t sure if I changed any BIOS settings. The issues worsened, so I reset Windows, but the problems continued. Eventually I switched my BIOS profile to auto, which now runs memory at 2133Mhz. I’ve tested different RAM slots and combinations, used various diagnostic tools without errors, but nothing indicates a failure. With the new GPU I’m getting decent performance for my tasks, yet the issue remains, and I’d like to unlock its full potential.
I'm going to make an educated assumption that the two RAM sticks contain distinct memory chips. Manufacturers produce memory from various companies, often choosing the most affordable yet compliant options. The challenge arises when memory dies from different vendors don't integrate smoothly. Could you provide a screenshot of the CPU-Z SPD section for each stick?
I own identical RAM units, but the unusual part is it functioned properly for about two years before failing. Here’s a photo of each port.
Do you have 2 sticks or 4 installed? Have you attempted to adjust the speed, voltage, and timings manually instead of using the XMP profile? @DimitrisS96 please confirm I received your message.
I've tested four options, but I haven't found a solution that works.
Are your BIOS and chipset drivers current? They can enhance memory compatibility and performance.
