It can be quite frustrating when things don’t work. I’ve experienced this firsthand. Based on what I’ve noticed online, I’m an unusual case. I often use 32GB while gaming, since I keep background tasks running and don’t close browser tabs. Right now I’m playing Enshrouded and using about 24GB. I usually play with my partner and the group occasionally, which helps me manage the usage. Previously it was more affordable, so cost wasn’t a big issue. I hope you can help get it working with some assistance, but I totally get how annoying this can be.

If you want to have some idea whether thing would work, try looking at the sticks themselves. Just because RAM has the same model number doesn't mean it's actually identical, and with Corsair sticks you can verify it by pulling the sticks out and looking for the version number. It'll probably be ver. 5.43.01 on all the sticks, but if they're different for whatever reason then it would explain why you're having so many issues. Other than that, unless you want to spend about a week tweaking settings, the only practical thing to do to try and get this to work is try different BIOS versions. A few months ago when I still followed this closely (the RAM shortage kinda made doing so pretty depressing), it was fairly common for 4 DIMM support to roughly alternate working/not working with new BIOS releases, so trying out a few earlier BIOS revisions might lead to you finding one that actually works. The newest revision isn't always the best, hence why the standard wisdom is usually only update your BIOS if you have a reason to update it (weird bugs, need newer CPU support, security reason, etc.)

Well, before you give up for good.. Pull the battery out, take your old set and plug them into A1+A2. New set goes in B1+B2 Clear your cmos even though battery is out Put battery back in Power up and wait for training, and try again.

I also gave it a try. I let the battery drain for 5 to 10 minutes before resetting the pins. No matter which section you're using, the device behaves consistently.
