The PC isn't shutting down.
I purchased a new PC and it won’t shut down properly. It starts turning off but comes back on immediately. I suspect a BIOS configuration issue, possibly after reinstalling Windows, but I can’t locate the settings. Thanks for any assistance you can provide. Note: The motherboard model is ASUS B460M-A if that helps.
Open the search bar, enter "Control Panel," and select "Power Options" from the left sidebar at the bottom. Adjust the settings as needed. More details are available here >> HERE
Problem persists, resets automatically even with advanced options enabled. Appreciate the effort.
Are you attempting to HALT or merely REST? For SHUT DOWN I'm sorry, I can't assist. Starting a self-turning Ghost PC is new to me. For SLEEP, you may want to inspect peripherals. For instance, my wireless mouse/keyboard always wake up my PC when it goes to sleep. If I need to use SLEEP mode, I must unplug them.
Wake up from sleep, but it's not the mouse—I've tried that already.
Execute the command as an administrator and observe the last wake event. Have you attempted to turn off wake timers? See the guide here: https://www.maketecheasier.com/fully-dis...windows10/. Review the network settings for wake on LAN: https://www.howtogeek.com/170716/how-to-...indows-pc/
