I opted to upgrade the BIOS to the latest release and subsequently attempted performance enhancements using PBO and Ryzen Master auto OC. I achieved a clock speed of around 4.3GHz with maximum performance near 48 degrees. After adjusting BIOS settings manually, I exited and the PC remained inactive—only the VGA LED illuminated. I then restarted, but this time the CPU LED lit up instead.
After another attempt to power off the system, I found the power button wouldn’t shut down the PC. When I flipped the surge protector switch, it worked. I explored various troubleshooting steps: clearing CMOS, removing the battery, booting with a single RAM stick, etc. Despite these efforts, nothing functioned properly; the CPU red LED stayed on and the power switch didn’t turn off the PC but instead powered it on. Is this a permanent issue?
Did you revert any original character modifications in the BIOS to check for recovery? If successful, it suggests a setting was set too high.
Clear the CMOS with a jumper
Refresh the BIOS using q-flash plus
