The PC is running slowly and freezing constantly.
My computer suddenly began to slow down and display blackouts, often starting when I open a browser. It would lag heavily, then switch off completely on both screens before briefly returning. This issue started recently and has never occurred before. I attempted to update drivers and used DDU, but it didn’t resolve the problem. Stress tests on hardware passed, including games. Current specs: Windows 11 Pro, Rtx 4090, 576.80 driver, 7950x3d, 32GB RAM, 2x16 5600MHz. For now, I’m considering a different display cable on my main monitor.
It might not be what actually happened to your computer, but I noticed some recent Windows updates affecting the Nvidia drivers and causing issues similar to what you described. I didn’t pinpoint the exact cause, but reinstalling Windows from scratch and updating all drivers usually resolved the problem most of the time. I’m unsure why Nvidia and Microsoft are clashing over GPU stability, but this is the main reason I suggest opting for AMD or Intel GPUs instead. Hope that helps.
