The issue started when my screen went dark and the GPU fans stopped spinning, leading me to think the GPU had shut down. I tried adjusting the fans, assuming temperature was the cause, but it didn’t help. It mainly happens during games. I’m considering using OHW logs for diagnosis and shared a short CSV version along with the full setup details you provided.

The PSU you have inside is of poor quality, probably leading to the unexpected shutdowns.

It's happening only when the system is under stress, like high load, while the GPU stops working. The fans, CPU cooler, and other components keep running, but the power supply seems unrelated.

You addressed your query directly. If the power supply isn't stable, unexpected issues may arise. It's not a simple yes or no situation. Unlike common assumptions, signs of a low-quality PSU aren't just sudden failures. Problems can include corrupted windows, memory errors, CPU difficulties, driver crashes, GPU malfunctions, random shutdowns, and more.

I swapped my PSU for a Corsair Tx 750M but the problem persists, suggesting it might not be the power supply.

I would examine the motherboard and RAM first. Proceed by inserting one stick into each slot sequentially.

I checked my profile and noticed it was five years old. I refreshed it now and everything looks good—no issues even after an hour of gaming on full GPU power!
