Experienced a problem yesterday when the PC began crashing and failing to boot without resetting the CMOS after a BIOS edit. Recently attempted to reflash the BIOS, but it won’t boot at all. The system powers on, lights and fans activate, yet no display appears and the mouse/keyboard are absent. Tried removing the CMOS battery and using the clear CMOS pins while power off (which worked previously), but nothing changed. No solution found. Any advice would be appreciated—this is costly to resolve without replacing the hardware now.
Remove components to check for warning indicators such as RAM or GPU issues.
I'm pretty confident it's not a hardware problem—it could be related to the BIOS or software. It worked yesterday, and after stress testing the CPU, GPU, and RAM with a few hours of use, everything was fine. I played around for a couple of hours, then restarted and it still didn't work. I had to reset the CMOS to get it to boot. Eventually, I managed to boot after repeatedly turning the power supply on and off while holding the power button. (Note: I'm currently re-flashing the BIOS and replacing the CMOS battery to see if that fixes it.)
This appears to be a status update, as it's listed in the troubleshooting section.
Successfully booted using backup BIOS after several tries. Updated the BIOS and the system appears normal now.
