Checking if you have Windows 11 for the E-cores is essential for proper functionality.
Power consumption will likely increase with 12900k, making it hotter; monitor clock speeds and temperatures closely.
Memory has moved from DDR4 3200 to the lower end of DDR5, which could affect latency. Make sure XMP is activated.
The upgrade concept isn’t entirely clear to me.
The 11700K should deliver near-perfect scores, with only slight gains in most games. Older titles aiming for maximum FPS may see minor improvements, while high-end titles will still be limited by GPU settings.
A 13700k would be similar to the 12900k but with additional cache.
