In short, I've had three PCs in the past and all of them were running Windows 11. However, over the last few months, I've been facing similar issues. My computer suddenly stops responding, but the cursor still works. I can't perform actions like ctrl+alt+del or anything else except a hard shutdown. The problem happens randomly, even when opening a few Chrome tabs or playing games. I understand you might think my hardware is faulty, but the three PCs I owned were brand new and in perfect condition. I checked the event manager too, but nothing was wrong.

Current PC specifications:
- Motherboard: MSI X570 Gaming Edge WiFi - BIOS version: E7C37AMS.1E0
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
- GPU: RTX 2060
- RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz
- Power Supply: Unknown, above 600W
- Operating System: Windows 11 64-bit

My PC has good airflow, and I recently upgraded to a better cooler than the original one. This is my first visit, so I really value your assistance. Attached are some pictures below...

What is the brand and model of the PSU? Is there a malware scan available for the system?

The BIOS updates for the motherboards are available at the provided link. Version 1E0 may not fully support the 5600x CPU.

Ram modules are positioned in incorrect slots. They should be placed in slots A2 and B2. The fan at the top of the case is oriented incorrectly. Regarding your mouse problem, verify the health of your storage devices. If it's an NVME SSD, then monitor its temperature. Why weren't storage devices listed in your PC specifications?

I changed the bios to the newest release that works with Ryzen 5000 series processors, though it seems the problem persists.

oh i didn't see them at all, my bad....
i have 1 120 gb corsair force ls (games),
1 4tb wd hard drive,
1 crucial p2 500gb nvme drive (windows installed with some games),
and the ram slots are in the right place. probably the picture isn't clear.
i don't have any issues with the mouse—just put it there because my pc is freezing completely and the cursor still moves.
my pc's windows is frozen too, and i can't do anything about it... i hope you understand.
let me know if you need more details.

Verify the health and temperatures of your storage devices.
Run HDtune health and share the screenshots.
Try the free Hdtune 2.55 version
https://www.hdtune.com/download.html
For SSDs, use manufacturer-specific SSD software.
Crucial storage executive – for Crucial.
Unclear if Corsair offers dedicated SSD software.

I really believe it's not due to my drive heating up, since if it was, freezing would be consistent... This happens randomly regardless of whether I use just Google Chrome or play a game with demanding graphics. Even in light or heavy usage, the freezing remains completely unpredictable. I'm not a tech expert, but I think the drive will overheat during intensive tasks.

Anyway, I'll try it with another free software because I don't have 25 euros to spend on something I won't use long-term. If you can recommend any free options, that would be great!

When the OS drive or pagefile drive is unreachable while using it, the issues match your description. This might indicate overheating or a pre-failure condition of the drive.

Yes, you should inspect the boot drive for heating issues and error codes.
