The PC is not functioning properly because of frequent Windows Explorer errors?
Hi guys,
Over the last two months I've faced ongoing issues with my machine, specifically random crashes of Windows Explorer. It sometimes works for a day, but then it fails every minute.
I recently installed a fresh copy of Windows 11 Pro three weeks ago and downloaded the official ISO from Microsoft.
I tried the standard troubleshooting steps but nothing resolved the problem:
powercfg –restoredefaultschemes
Sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Unfortunately, I can no longer use my PC.
I attached some screenshots showing the components of my system.
My setup includes two graphics cards: a 1080 Ti and a GeForce 1050.
I'm using a Corsair power supply (Platinum 1000W).
I experimented with just one card, but both encountered problems.
Memory modules were tested—four 16GB sticks passed memtest without errors.
My CPU is set to 4.2GHz, yet the issue persists across all configurations.
I have Windows installed on an M2 500GB SSD and several standard SSDs.
Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

the full specifications include all components, with detailed make and model information for each part. please note that no updates to the latest BIOS have been applied for your motherboard, and no additional manufacturer-specific drivers have been installed.
Thank you for the update. I've reviewed the latest bio for your motherboard and examined the attached image with most of the components.
In threads for system assistance, incorporate the component's make and model as follows: CPU – motherboard (current BIOS version), RAM – GPU – PSU (overall usage time), storage – CPU cooler – case (additional fans included), OS – version and build number.
Have you made sure all required drivers from the board manufacturer's product support download page were installed? This might explain the problems you're facing.
I don't believe directly modifying the old drivers will resolve these issues (excluding BIOS). Checking the system logs through the event viewer often doesn't help much either. Windows tends to display warnings in custom views.
You've already tried all possible solutions. If you're using 4 stick RAM at OC speeds, consider setting it to default settings. Feel free to share any system reports (Minidump files, etc.) if available.
"old drivers" aren't part of what MS adds via Windows Update, only standard versions.
If the required manufacturer's drivers haven't been installed, they may impact all system functions.
And it's precisely because Explorer can't manage simple tasks. The user hasn't mentioned setting up drivers from the hardware manufacturer, so I don't think you're interpreting this correctly. Your reference to their quote only confirms they installed Windows, not anything else. Is English your second language?
Explorer doesn't normally crash even with standard drivers from a windows installer - as if any drivers tested for stability, its the ones on the installer.
It does feel like hardware of some sort.
Fact it survives a clean install is enough for me... really rare to get same drivers twice, unless there is a wifi card or maybe a soundcard involved.
I would test drives out myself. Try running Magician on the Samsung drives and this on Western Digital -
